J.B. and  Melanie O’Neal are residents of Martinsville, Indiana. Melanie was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy as a child. Both, she and J.B., have been amazed at the difference Jesus Christ has made in their lives. God miraculously brought them together and they were married June 7, 1985. Six months later, He opened a door for the couple to share Christ through song and testimony in what would become their life’s work.  In 1994, God called them to a full-time ministry. Then, after 17 years of marriage, they received a surprise blessing. On February 7, 2003, their daughter Rose Ann was born.

      They have had the privilege of ministering to many churches at festivals, fairs and civic clubs throughout the state of Indiana and various states across the nation. Television and radio broadcasts include an appearance in December, 2003 on Life Today, hosted by James & Betty Robinson. This is an internationally broadcast program viewed in 120 million homes. In February, 2004, their “love story” was featured in an article in Homecoming Magazine.   This occurred  following their appearance at the 2003 Praise Gathering in Indianapolis, Indiana with Bill and Gloria Gaither.

   “Expect to Be Surprised” is the title of J.B. and  Melanie’s most recent recording which was produced in Nashville, Tennessee. Their recordings include original, traditional and southern gospel music. It is the O’Neal’s heartfelt desire to further the kingdom of Christ through song and testimony.
